MANY CLASSES FOR THE ENVIRONMENT

Legambiente offers classes to become CLASSES FOR THE ENVIRONMENT.

Why become a Class Environment?

• because a Class Environment concrete action to improve the environment in which it helps to build a more sustainable and inclusive, with protecting nature and making the city more livable and beautiful;

• because students of a class for the Environment are active citizens who are busy, have their say on what's around them, meet other experiences from which to draw inspiration for action.

What does a Class Environment?

• promotes environmental action within their own school or of their territory brings out what is beautiful, and tries to intervene to stem the ugliness

• address environmental problems and look for solutions.

Classes for the Environment may:

• participate in active citizenship initiatives : Clean Up the World Day of the Tree, Operation Rivers, Nontiscordardimè-Operation clean schools, 100 roads to play ;

• open disputes on their own territory to obtain better, more cycle lanes, more green, more cultural spaces ...

• to twin with a school in a small town participating in the project The School adopts a municipality and support projects of cooperation and international solidarity;

• campaigning to improve the 'efficiency the school gaining acceptance friendly school climate ;

How to become a Class Environment?

What receives Class Environment?

The manual classes to the environment , the educational TeatrAmbiente - between the stage and backstage young people take the theaters, Jey (the magazine for those under 14), the Jey Card , adhesives, and the flag of the Handbook Legambiente.

The national competition

Classes for the Environment may participate in a national competition that will reward the best experience and will build a database useful for the dissemination of good practices in other schools.

Last year we asked some of the participating schools to showcase their town. The following is the list of winners, who were rewarded with educational materials valued at about € 6000:

LEGAMBIENTE SCHOOL, WORK ON THE WEB TO WORK BETTER

Create a working group on environmental education, create an 'area education for schools, clubs and members of Legambiente Lombardia, communicate experiences and projects, share ideas, overcome barriers and to remit to the division center of the action and the choices of Legambiente education. Collect the best practices of education carried out by members and trainers Legambiente circles. Collect them to network and make them known.
